You can add a contact to a client (or prospective client) while you are completing a range of tasks. In each case you will use the Add Contact dialog, but the path to that dialog will vary, depending on the task.
Before you begin
As contacts are specific to clients, before you can add a client contact in WorkflowMax, the client must already exist. For further details, see Add a client.
Opening the Add Contact dialog
For information on how to get to the Add Contact dialog, select the task you are completing.
- Creating a new job
- In the Jobs menu, select Jobs > New Job.
- In the New Job screen Client drop-down list, select the client that you wish to add a contact for.
- Add Contact (+).
- Creating a new lead
- In the Business menu, select Leads > New Lead.
- In the New Lead screen Client/Prospect drop-down list, select the client or prospect that you wish to add a contact for.
- Add Contact (+).
- Creating a new quote
- In the Business menu, select Quotes > + New > New Quote.
- In the New Quote screen Client drop-down list, select the client or prospect that you wish to add a contact for.
- Add Contact (+).
- Creating a new estimate
- In the Business menu, select Quotes > + New > New Estimate.
- In the New Estimate screen Client drop-down list, select the client or prospect that you wish to add a contact for.
- Add Contact (+).
Adding a contact
To add a new contact for a client or prospective client:
- In the Add Contact dialog, provide the following information, as required.
Field Description Contact Name The full name of this contact person. For example: Catrina Foster
Position Job role or position: Accounts Manager
Salutation The name to follow 'Dear' at the start of a letter: Catrina
Addressee The formal name used in templates for documents such as invoices: Ms C Foster
Phone Contact phone number including area code: (04) 123-4567
Mobile Mobile number: (022) 234-5678
Email Address Contact email address: catrina@archwaybiz.com
