Archiving a client removes the client from client lists – reducing clutter and letting you focus on current clients. You can restore the client from the archive later if necessary.
When a client has been archived:
- It no longer appears on the Clients tab in the Client Manager.
- It no longer appears in the drop-down list of clients when creating jobs, quotes or invoices.
Archive a client
To archive a client:
- Select Clients.
- If required, select the down-arrow to the right of the page title and select the required filter A filter provides a quick way to display only selected clients, invoices, quotes and work in progress based on pre-defined criteria. Once a filter has been selected, it becomes the default title for the page. Page titles that are also filter names are shown in blue text with a drop-down arrow, at right. . Choose any filter other than Archived to show active clients.
- On the Clients screen, use the checkbox to select the client (or clients) you wish to archive.
- Archive. The selected client is moved to the archive.
Restore a client
To restore a client from the archive:
- Select Clients.

- On the Client Manager screen, drill down on the archived client you wish to restore.
- On the client details screen, select Options > Restore. The selected client is moved into the active clients list.
